I am a Professor and Associate Department Head in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and an Adjunct Professor in the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I lead the Sustainable Computing Lab, which focuses on designing distributed software systems with an emphasis on improving efficiency and sustainability. I also serve as Chair of ACM's Special Interest Group on Energy Systems and Informatics (SIGEnergy).
