About

I am a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and an Adjunct Professor in the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  I lead the Sustainable Computing Lab, which focuses on designing distributed software systems with an emphasis on improving efficiency and sustainability.  I also serve as Chair of ACM's Special Interest Group on Energy Systems and Informatics (SIGEnergy), and as the Systems Foundations Lead for the NSF Expedition on Computational Decarbonization (CoDec).
